Kilkhampton is a Cornish settlement 4 miles from Bude, a prominent Victorian coastal town. Kilkhampton's old church, village stores, and pubs are great places to relax after a day of exploring the area's beaches and coastal landscapes. When circumstances are correct, you won't find better surf than on Bude's beaches.
When the tide is out, golden sand and rock pools keep visitors busy for hours. The South West Coast Path and other paths flowing over clifftops and through green fields make this a refuge for walkers and nature enthusiasts. For those who want to stay near to home, there's a shopping centre, pubs, clubs, and restaurants.
Rowing a boat down Bude canal's tranquil waters or walking the towpath among the gorgeous (and friendly) water fowl is a great way to spend an hour or two. Two golf courses, an indoor pool, and a bowling alley are nearby. North Cornwall's best location.
