Approached via a winding lane and set in 250-acres on a Cornish farm, this comfortable farmhouse-style conversion which used to be the dairy and hayloft is the ideal country retreat to explore the South Cornwall coast. Kids are sure to love getting up close to their favourite animals, as well as watching a variety of farm activities (enquire for more details).
Enjoying an inverted design, the first-floor living areas at The Chestnut Tree take full advantage of the panoramic countryside views. Exposed beams, stone walls, Cornish granite and soft furnishings combine to create a soothing place to stay and on a cold winter's night, there's nowhere better to be than snuggled around the warmth of the electric wood burner playing board games.
For a family-friendly day out, the largest indoor rainforest in the world at The Eden Project is only 3 miles away, as is the Luxulyan Valley and Viaduct. The tall ships and maritime museums of Charlestown plus the Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within 14 miles. Within 5 miles there are several golf courses including Lostwithiel and Lanhydrock, while the sandy beaches at Par and Fowey are within 8 miles when you fancy a dip in the sea.
