Holiday cottage in Widemouth Bay, Cornwall - Sleeps 4 (FCH40636)

The spectacular sea views draw you through the cottage the moment you enter. Depicting a scene straight from a watercolour painting, the blue waters, golden sands and emerald cliff edges provide a mesmerising backdrop of Widemouth Bay. Spacious and cosy, Sea Escape provides a peaceful retreat away from the rest of the world.

Your own little slice of Cornwall, this cottage houses you in a sheltered location from which you can switch off and unwind. The pretty seaside garden is a delightful, flowering space from which to light the barbecue and dine alfresco while you watch the sun set over the waves. Once inside, comfort is key; snuggle next to the fire on the duck egg sofas or sink into bed after a soak in the bath.

Carefully chosen neutral tones limit distraction from the pops of colour shining through from the outside, yet subtle nods to your seaside surroundings can be found around every corner. Pack a picnic and take the short stroll down to the water's edge, here you'll discover a beautiful sandy beach perfect for swimming, surfing and building sandcastles.

Pop into a cafe for a coffee stop on your way back up too. For some truly scenic sights, continue along the South West Coast Path and admire the endless stretch of coast beyond - the cove at Crackington Haven will provide a welcoming reward at the end of your walk (6 miles). Just a 3-mile drive will put you in the bustling centre of Bude, for plenty of activities come rain, come shine.
